The EDGE!
Though Summer is not officially over, I know it won’t be long until school and Fall activities are back in full swing. I wanted to go ahead and get out the newsletter so that you will not miss a few items on the horizon. It has truly been an eventful Summer for many as we have gone through mountaintop experiences in Chile and at Passport. Though the school year will send us back into routines, I do not want us to neglect what God may have in store.
We do not have to be on retreat or mission trips for burning bush experiences to take place. Like Moses in Exodus 3, we simply have to be looking for God, even in the ordinary events of the day. As we prepare for the Fall I want us to be intentional in seeking God. Who knows where the next burning bush might pop up! MAKING OUR MARK-SPECIAL EVENTS America’s Got Talent Lock-In On Friday, July 30th we will have a lock-in from 8 p.m. until noon. We will have a Variety Show as part of the fun. Bring $15 for food and bowling! Feel free to invite a friend! We will be serving at Community Brunch from 9 a.m. until noon. Oral Hygiene Kit Distribution On Saturday, September 11th we will be going into the neighborhood to hand out oral hygiene kits from 10 a.m. until noon. This will be a Passport fundraiser for all who plan to go next year! We will go out to lunch afterwards! Fall Festival Make plans to join us from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 18th at the church for games, inflatables, sidewalk chalk, face painting, music and lots of food for the church and community. Come join the fun and help with the games! Trunk or Treat On Wednesday, October 27th from 6-7 p.m. we will have our annual trunk or treat! Bring your car to be decorated and bring some candy to share with the children at church and in the community!!
